“Retwist”

it’s the raspy voice

the way you smile when I walk in the door

the                   “put your coat up, and meet me in the back”

the black bowl

the water

lavender and mint

scratching

latch up

under the water

when wet I think I am a 3C

but really i’m still 4C

coil

kink

nappy

you separate me          and motorize

there’s more mint

i feel every time the door opens

jojoba down the nape of my neck

your hands      together

rubbing

like your starting a fire in the winter

silver clip

and repeat

rubbing

like your starting a fire in the winter

silver clip

and repeat

tell me I’m doing a good job

it’s healthy

you must do at home

it gets tight

tighter

and more tighter

to the last one

jojoba oil                     down by my ear

edges wrapped black paper

I go under

you offer me water

I savor every sip

hot

I stop   let air dry

that’s be 55

swipe

Vision Statement

Wusgood Mag’s vision is to develop a longstanding sustainable space for underserviced urban artists to have their work published and shared publically. Beginning digitally, Wusgood hopes to grow into an online & print magazine that pays contributors and staff.
